 I have noticed on homemade go karts, that the second to last thing that is given thought or effort is the seat. Very often people will use old car seats, or use those ugly plastic fiber glass chairs.
The car seat may be okay, but it usually has the center of gravity so high that practically using it on a go kart is very difficult.
There are several design issues with respect to seating that are important for support. It is not just slapping a bunch of foam on a board and covering it with fabric. There is a little more to it than that.
The seat is the first impression that someone gets when they sit in your go kart. The seat also, should look like it is part of the vehicle, not an after thought.
